Maternity Photography

Congratulations – your new life cycle has begun and you want to capture this beauty forever.

Maternity photography is a time of tenderness and love and needs to conducted in the most tasteful and gentle way. There are very important questions you will want to ask your photographer, and as a woman and a mother of two – you can ask away.

My photography is tasteful, modern and relaxed, that way we will capture the real emotions of this very exciting time in your lives.

The bigger your bump the better, but don’t leave it too late to book. With maternity photography I book months in advance, to ensure we hold the ideal date just for you.

Pregnancy photography is more than just portraiture – its art. The way you prepare for your sitting is vital to how your final images will look. Call me now to talk about your session in more detail.

Up to a 2 hour studio session cost £55 and will be taken at our Lancashire based studio.

Baby’s First Years (from Newborn to Toddler)

I have to admit that this programme is a real favorite of mine.

The first year's of your baby's life are truly an amazing time. The changes they make from being a babe in arms to charging about your home and getting into mischief are incredible. (Just wait until the reach the terrible two’s!)

The first year's programme is a wonderful scheme that allows you to access three professional portrait sittings and key times over your child's first 18 months.

Each session is designed for us to create beautiful images of your child. We encourage you to bring along many changes of clothes, hats, toys and dressing up clothes - you get out of these sessions what you put in!

SESSION ONE

This must be taken before your child is 6 months old. Here we capture close ups and beautiful baby photographs, which can include baby in their birthday suit if you wish. Dont worry, we have had plenty of puddles - its all part of the fun! With newborns its nice for them to be held an a natural pose by one of their parents. This may be skin to skin contact that will show the gentle nurturing nature needed for a baby this age. Dont worry if this is not your thing, we can discuss all the options when you reserve your session.

SESSION TWO

Takes place when your baby can sit un-aided. This session is designed to capture the joy and happiness your baby brings to your life and must take place before your baby's first birthday. We often do a trash the cake to celebrate their first year. Its very messy but great fun and we will spend alot of time laughing as your little on covers themselves from top to toe in sticky cake.

Here we are looking for little cubby arms and legs, so think about buying nappy covers (as nothing looks worse than branded nappies on an image). This session is very playful so be sure to bring their favorite things.

SESSION THREE

This session will take place when your child can confidently walk and must be done before your child is 18 months old. This rough and tumble, playful session can be sometimes the most challenging of them all - we all know how stubborn children cam be. My advice to you is not to worry there is nothing in the studio that can break and if there is, we can remove it. It the mischief in their eyes I am looking for, so dont stress if your child wont do as they are told - its best that you just let them get on with it and not worry about forcing them into something they dont want to do!

AFTER THE SESSION

After each session we will work on your photographs and produce a beautiful range of images to show you that will make your heart melt. The images will consist of only the very best from your sitting and will include some truely special fine art work.

After a high quality edit, we invite you back to the studio for your viewing. Here you can look at how your images will look in a range of our frames and discuss how you would like them to be presented.

AT THE END OF THE THIRD SESSION, WE HAVE YOUR IMAGES PROFESSIONAL FRAMED IN A TRIPLE, PANORAMIC FRAME AS A GIFT TO YOU.

There is a one off administration fee for this programme of £45 - there is then no further charge for any of the 3 portrait sessions.
